He was the son of F. Lafayette BLANKENSHIP and Caroline E. HIGDON.

Blankenship (12 female born Alabama), J Blankenship (8 male born Alabama). The 8 year old J. Blankenship may be the 18 year old John Blankenship that married Sena Higdon in 1879.2
