| Court Record | On 4 April 1873, Robert D. Higdon and his wife Mary Ann gave depositions regarding the war years and his claims for payment of war debts. Robert is 53 and Mary Ann is 51. Robert D. Higdon and his family were living in Eastport, Mississippi until March 1862 then moved to Franklin County, Alabama and then to Brooklyn, Illinois in the fall of 1863 to avoid the war and they did not return until after the war ended.
