Court Record*On 22 December 1766, a lawsuit was recorded stating, "John Cox and Mary his wife administratrix of William Moseley dec'd." against Arthur Moseley senior. - Cumberland County Order Book 1764-1767, p. 382. FSL 7837429-498 - also 29 Sept 1767 continued FSL 7893769-39. 
Court RecordOn 26 April 1768, the lawsuit regarding the slaves went to jury and John Cox and wife Mary, administrator of William Moseley deceased, were awarded damages from Arthur Moseley. The case was finally dismissed in October 1782. - Cumberland County Order Book 1767-1774, p. 150. FSL 7893769-94. 
Court RecordOn 26 April 1768, John Cox is appointed guardian to Benjamin Moseley, William Moseley, John Moseley and Phebe Moseley, ophans of William Moseley deceased. These are the children of William Moseley and his wife Mary Watkins Moseley. - Cumberland County Order Book 1767-1774, p. 151. FSL 7893769-94.
