Occupation*He was Solicter General of Scotland. From 1737 to 1742 he was Lord Advocate. in 1725. 
Marriage*He married Elizabeth HAIRSTANES Lady Alva, daughter of William HAIRSTANES Laird of Craigs and Mary Maxwell, on 27 August 1753.1 
Death*Charles ERSKINE Lord Tinwald died on 5 April 1763.
