He was the son of John LEWIS and Elizabeth WARNER.1 
Marriage*Col. Robert LEWIS married Jane MERIWETHER, daughter of Nicholas MERIWETHER and Elizabeth CRAWFORD, in 1725.1,2 
Property*Robert Lewis obtaines a land grant for 5,200 acres in North Garden on the head of the north branch of the hardwar River in Goochland County, Virginia. Peter Hairston, hugh Dobbins Jr. and James Woods would later acquire adjoining land.
