HUNTER witnessed the deed of Patty "Patsy" HUNTER and Martha "Patsy" HAIRSTON on 27 June 1814 in Henry, County; On 27 June 1814, Samuel Rowland of Henry County relinquishs all rights unto Patsy Greenlee for the benefit of her daughter Patsy Rowland with regard to slaves and other property which are located in Tennessee. Witnessed by Powhatan Hunter. - Henry Deed Book 8, page 40. FSL #8151701 image 27.

HUNTER was mentioned in the will of Martha "Patsy" HAIRSTON on 13 January 1834 in Henry, Virginia; She mentions her children Alexander, Powhatan, Samuel, Ruth Greenlee, Elizabeth, Martha Burks, Mary, Permelia, Polly Bassett, Patsy Rowland, and Peyton. She also mentions John A. Hairston, Robert T. Woods and son-in-law Samuel Rowland. Executors, and friends, are John A. Hairston, Robert T. Woods and Landis P. Death*Powhatan B. HUNTER died on 5 June 1835 at age 35.2 
Burial*He was buried in Mary Hunter Cemetery, Henry, Virginia.2 
Court RecordOn 11 December 1837, the land Powhatan Hunter dec'd. inherited from his mother, Martha "Patsy" Hairston Hunter Greenlee, is disputed in Henry County Chancery Court. The determines the land is to be divide into six equal parts; #1 Polly (Hunter) Bassett, #2 Patsy Rowland alias Gray, #3 William Matthews and Elizabeth Mathews, #4 Samuel Burks and wife Camelia Burks, #5 John A. Hairston (purchased land from Peyton Hunter), #6 John A. Hairston (purchased land from Alexander Hunter). - Henry County Minute Book 2, page 331. FSL #8098390 image 170.
