| Obituary* | Laetitia 'Tish' Wadsworth Shivar, of Middle Sound, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2004.
Tish was born in Henry County, VA, April 7, 1916, to Laetitia and William Wadsworth. She graduated from the James Walker School of Nursing in 1940, beginning her nursing career at Wilmington Shipyard. Tish was a lifelong Episcopalian and a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wilmington. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Elmo H. Shivar; two brothers, William and Thomas Wadsworth; and a sister, Margaret Freeman. Surviving are her daughter, Mary Louise Bonin and husband Michael and granddaughter Marie Nesmith and husband Robert; a son, Glenn Wadsworth Shivar and wife Janet and grandson Glenn Edward Shivar; and many nieces and nephews. - WILMINGTON STAR NEWS July 22, 2004. |
