Grant* On March 10, 1756, James McCord obtained a Virgina patent for 174 acres in Albemarle County on both sides of Moreman's River and near the blue ledge of mountains crossing a small island.2 
Death*James MCCORD died about 1760 in Albemarle, Virginia.1 
Probate*His estate was probated in 1761 in Albemarle, Virginia. There is a record of an inventory for the estate of James McCord in 1761.3
