NOTE*GENEALOGY NOTES:

Who were his parents? There are very few known records relating to John Constant Hairston (Harston). The 1840 census and the marriage license spells his surname HAIRSTON and other documents HARSTON and HARSTIN. The only place the name John Constant appears is on his daughter Malinda's death certificate that was filed by an unknown person. Documents state the daughter Melinda was born in 1839, but she is not listed in 1840 census. It could have been a census error, incorrect birthday, etc..

Recent Y-DNA results of one of his male descendants match several documented Hairston male descendants.
