Obituary*"Dr. William C. Portmann - Dr. William C. Portmann, of Jackson, Minn., formerly of this vicinity, died suddenly Wednesday at Jackson. He was found dead in a duck blind yesterday afternoon, having succumbed while of a hunting trip. Three sons, Milton Portmann, of Cleveland; Dr. U. V. Portmann, of the Cleveland clinic, and Arthur Portmann, of Norwood, survive. Dr. Portmann was well known in this city. He visited here a number of times and at one time practiced in Canton. The time of the funeral was not learned here." -- The Evening Independent, Massillio, Ohio, Thursday, November 4, 1937.
