Birth*Laetitia HAIRSTON was born about 1809 in Black Water, Franklin, Virginia, mother died in 1809 and she is 40 in the 1850 census. The death certificate of Judith S. Watkins, Laetitia's daughter, filled out by her sister Mary T., it states that the LAETITIA is the correct spelling.1
She was the daughter of Col. Samuel HAIRSTON and Judith Sparrell SAUNDERS
Census 1830Laetitia HAIRSTON listed in the household of Col. Samuel HAIRSTON on 1 June 1830 in Franklin, Virginia; Males 70-79 1, Females 20-29 1.2 
WillIn Col. Samuel HAIRSTON's will dated 4 November 1834, Laetitia HAIRSTON was named as an heir; Samuel Hairston left a will dated 7 November 1834 and a codicil dated 8 November 1834. Samuel Hairston also left a second codicil dated 4 November 1834, but I believe the court clerk wrote November instead of December. The will was filed with the Franklin County Court on 5 January 1835. - Franklin County Will Book 4, pages 290-292, FSL 7644995 image 455.3
MarriageShe married Thomas Hardin WATKINS, son of Thomas WATKINS and Magdalene DUPUY, on 10 January 1837.4,5 
Census 1850Laetitia HAIRSTON appeared on the 1850 census of Thomas Hardin WATKINS on 15 August 1850 in Henry, Virginia.1
Death*Laetitia HAIRSTON died on 22 November 1858.
