Biography* | William Brodnax was born about 1706 in James City County, Virginia to William Brodnax (1675-1727) and Rebecka Champion Brodnax (1677-1723). The elder Brodnax had emigrated from England to Virginia and amassed property in James City County. His son William inherited this property upon his father’s death in 1727. Brodnax moved to Prince George County, Virginia, where he married Ann Hall (d. 1789).
