One of the most delightful enter tainments that has been given in Columbus in a long, longtime was the reception which was given at the elegant home of Capt. and Mrs. H. D. Foote out on the highlands
last Friday night by their accomplished daughter, Miss Sallie, complimentary to her three charming guests, Misses Katherine Patty, of Atlanta, Emma Patty, of Macon and Bennie Will Gibson, of the prairies. Dainty and elegant refreshments were served and with dancing, cards and music, the moments sped rapidly by, and all too soon, the hour for departure arrived. The guests reiuctautly took their leave, one aud till declaring it the most delightful entertainment of the week.
