Patent/Warrant He also purchased 80.22 acres of public land in Township 15, Range 21, Section 35, Bullock County, Alabama from the United States Land Office.7 
Census 1850*He appeared on the census of 27 February 1850 in Austin, Travis, Texas, Ezakail Hurston 54 SC, Mary Hurston 50 GA, Mahaby Hurston 8 AL.2

 
Census 1860*He appeared on the census of 22 June 1860 in Burnet, Texas, Ezekiel Harriston 66, Jane 64.3

 
Will*He left a will on 3 March 1870 in Burnet, Texas. PDF transcript of will attached.1
Death*Ezekiel and his wife Mary Jane died in March 1870. Ezekiel died of kidney failure at 76. Jane Hairston died the the same year at 74 of typhoid fever.1,8,5
