Death*John Townes HAIRSTON died on 7 July 1932 at age 76. The cemetery marker shows date of death as 4 July 1933 and is incorrect. The obituary od John T. Hairston is in The Macon Beacon newspaper, dated July 8, 1932, and states he died on 7 July 1932 at 3:40 in the afternoon. Either the grave marker, which looks relatively new, is incorrect or the newpaper was a year early on his death. My bet is the newspaper is correct.13
