Obituary*SAMUEL H. HAIRSTON
Dr. S. H. Hairston of Meridian, Mississippi, one of the state’s leading physicians and surgeons, passed to his reward October 20, 1930.
Doctor Hairston was born in Crawford, Mississippi, January 25, 1880, and had practiced his chosen vocation in Meridian for many years, having graduated in medicine from the Louisville Medical College in 1904.
He was a member of many medical societies and had held many important positions in medical circles during his active life.
Doctor Hairston was not only a leader in civic, business and social affairs, but in the religious life of the community he likewise faithfully served.
He was a true friend, kindly and just to all and a man on whom those he came in contact with could place implicit trust. The community in which he lived mourns the loss of Doctor Hairston.
